Great tips for Ramadhaan and fasting :

1. Always remember and worship ALLAH. Even if you’re sat doing nothing, do Dhikr. Pray your Salaah and pray the Qura’an. Make Du’a for those who don’t have what you have got. The Muslims who are fasting but do not have food to open/close fasts with, remember and make Du’a for them.

2. At the time of closing your fast, don’t stuff yourself silly. It’ll just use more energy. Eat enough to satisfy your hunger but make sure to eat more carbs and protein based foods along with vegetables and fruits. Eat foods which are heavy (couple bananas and like 2 wheatabix do me nicely)

3. Drink a lot of water. When closing your fast drink at least two glasses of water. After opening it, in the time you’re not fasting drink at least 8 glasses.

4. Open your fast with something sweet. Like dates.

5. At the hottest part of the day stay indoors or stay in shade.

6. Don’t use energy on unnecessary stuff. Gym etc can wait till after Ramadhaan. Remember Ramadhaan is to control your attachment to worldly desires. I think body image counts as one lol.

7. Look after your family. Especially the person who usually does the cooking. Help them. Help prepare the table. Help cook. They’re are also fasting too.

8. I can not stress this enough. Pray the Tarawih Salaah. This isn’t optional. You are only excused in extreme circumstances. You can’t just pray 8-12 and walk off. This only counts in certain cercumstances. Remember if the Sahaba kiraam can pray their Salaah in cases such as: big animals rushing past them which can potentially trample them, then we have very little excuse to miss ours. Fardh or not!

Remember to always be in the remembrance of ALLAH. To always pray and do Dhikr. Ramadhaan is to become closer to ALLAH. Evil is locked away so let’s make the most of it.

May ALLAH give us all the strength to complete this Ramadhaan...... Ameen Ya Rabb
