Just received some documents from Devon County Council to which outlines the abuse that took place at Langton House in the 1980s.
The abuse is in relation to children who were placed in Langton House via local authorities.
BMI Healthcare whom owned the unit stated that abuse never took place at Langton House but these documents prove that the abuse did take place and that the local authority failed to take steps to protect those child in their care.
The question I put to the local authority is why it took over 2 decades to release such documents that were present in my files and also why they failed to take action and yet are happy to float the word abuse when it concerns children being taken into care even though abuse never took place.
And yet the local authorities will use the word abuse just to remove children but then its also a known fact that abuse takes place in the care system
